Your certificates. Warned before, not after.
Every certificate, medical, insurance, licence, membership and travel document in one wallet, each with a traffic-light status: valid, expiring inside 90 days, critical inside 30, expired. The reminders arrive at 90, 30, 7 and 0 days by email, and by SMS as the deadline gets close — with the nearest providers who can renew it.
Employers see nothing until you push it. Each booking gets exactly the documents you choose, and outside the platform you share by a time-limited, revocable link — passport numbers masked on screen.

Every open job is scored against your role, required and desirable skills, certificates, experience, location and visa — seven weighted factors and a compliance multiplier that caps the score while a required certificate is missing. The crew member and the employer see the same number, because they call the same function.
Clashes with existing bookings and blocked dates are flagged before you apply. Applying takes one tap and sends a snapshot of your profile and live certificates. Warnings warn; they never block.
An applicant becomes a booking. In one click.
Applicants flow Pending → Shortlisted → Offer sent → Accepted, each with a match-score ring and a trust score. Send an offer and the crew member confirms in their app; accept and the booking is created, the contract generated and both parties emailed.
The friction is where it should be: accept someone missing two required items and the system asks "accept anyway?" with the gaps listed. A three-berth job stays open until all three are filled. And while you're still writing the post, a live, anonymised preview tells you how many crew already fit.
Every booking, one record. Nothing in a group chat.
A booking moves through eight stages — Booked, Pre-start, Travel day, On the job, Complete, Invoiced, Paid, Reviewed — and carries everything with it: travel legs by flight, train, ferry or car with tickets per direction; a packing list; the meeting point, what3words and who'll meet you; in-booking chat and shared documents.
Timesheets are logged by crew and confirmed or disputed by the employer. Rotations get their own swings with their own travel. Once flights are booked the employer can lock travel planning, and if nobody signs off, the booking completes itself after seven days.
Who's on board today. In one glance.
The Bridge is the vessel's front page: crew on board today, who's joining and leaving, a completion ring per department — Deck, Interior, Engineering, Culinary, Guest Services — and a 90-day watch on crew certificates and vessel documents, with the port-entry pack flagged.
Attention items don't dump you on another tab. "Two certificates expiring — see who below" scrolls to the names. And because the captain's Bridge and the management company's dashboard read the same compliance engine, the two never disagree.
Invoice from the booking. Chase it with a link.
Raise the invoice against the booking — line items, per-line VAT at 0, 5 or 20 percent, discounts, terms from on-receipt to net-90, in the currency you agreed. Import confirmed timesheets in one click. Bank details pre-fill from your profile.
The operator is alerted by email and SMS the moment you submit, then acknowledges, approves and marks it paid — or requests a revision, with a reason. For clients who aren't on Crewfair, send a public invoice link. The self-employed hub keeps the UTR, insurance and declaration in order beside it.
Trust that travels. Boat to boat.
After every booking, both sides review each other. Crew are rated on reliability, technical skills, communication, safety awareness, paperwork and — at double weight — would hire again. Employers are rated on pay fairness, accurate briefing, site conditions, communication, payment process and, again at double weight, would work again.
Scores go public only once there are three reviews averaging 3.5 or better, so nobody is defined by a bad Tuesday. Cancellations inside 21 days of a start date are recorded on the public profile — for operators too.
Guests tell you what they want. Crew get the brief.
Send the charter party a public link. They add each guest with a photo and a line about them, their dietary needs and allergies, the experiences and water toys they'd like, and any occasions. It lands as a draft for you to review — nothing is published to crew until you say so.
The crew brief is the only thing crew see: guests, dietary, toys to prep and a day-by-day plan with meals, activities and notes. Never contact details, never financials, never the broker.
